* [ ] Cleaning material: ecological dishwashing product, plastic bag to collect your waste, sponge and towel.

#### Food

*A few rules of thumb in bicycle touring:*

1. *Always have at least a cereal bar on you. Getting really hungry on the road is not nice.*
2. *Eat before you're actually hungry! Trust us, you'll thank us!*

* [ ] **Morning -** instant coffee or tea & a breakfast that gives strength (peanut butter, cereal bread, muesli,...).
* [ ] **During the day -** biscuits, cereal bars
* [ ] **Evening -** an easy meal to cook such as pasta. Don't forget to take basic spices (salt, pepper, paprika) and a little bit of oil to cook.

#### Drink

* [ ] Water bottles

### 🏕️ Sleep in a tent

* [ ] Tent
* [ ] Mattress
* [ ] Sleeping bag
* [ ] Pillow (you can also use some clothing)
* [ ] Charged head torch
* [ ] Earplugs

### 🚲 To cycle

*You’ll be riding with your own bicycle. Do a technical check of your bicycle at least two weeks before your trip to make sure you’re good to go. If you have any doubts, it’s best to pay a visit to your local bicycle shop beforehand.*

* [ ] A bicycle in good condition (wheels inflated, brakes functioning)
* [ ] A phone holder to place on your bicycle to easily read your itinerary
* [ ] Bicycle panniers *(we strongly recommend this, travelling with a backpack is very tiring)*
* [ ] Bicycle material: small pump, set of tyre levers and spare tubes (pay attention to the size of your wheels!)
* [ ] For e-bikes: charged batteries

Wearing a bike helmet is not mandatory in Belgium but highly recommended for full days on your bike.

### 📱 Other

* [ ] Your phone charger.
* [ ] Your wallet with some cash to be able to stop in a nice local café on the way!
